LunaKiraiZarus Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 I received a warning and a removal of a post for crediting the original author of a script I converted from LUA to JS. I simply would like to credit the original authors of a script and I don't think referencing a github LUA file is going to create competition for BC.Game. For example, what if my external link to github was the script posted as a gist so that I can add more wording to the original topic? Either way, it seems like an odd decision to ban ALL external links.
Event Team BCGame_Maxim Posted November 8, 2024 Event Team Posted November 8, 2024 Thank you for your message and for respecting the importance of crediting original work. We understand that your intentions were constructive, and we truly value that. However, due to recent security concerns and user account compromises linked to external scripts, we’ve put in place a strict policy disallowing links to any externally hosted scripts on our platform and forums. This decision isn’t a reflection of your intentions but a necessary safeguard for our community. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience, as these measures are solely to protect our users.
